Join CAL’s Brain Trust

CAL is building a network of U.S. and international lawyers -- our Brain Trust -- who are interested in working with CAL on an ad-hoc basis. We are looking for lawyers from all fields who want to share their expertise on discrete legal, policy, advocacy, or contextual issues. 

We are seeking support for activities such as:

  • Jumping on the phone to bounce ideas around

  • Legal research on discrete topics

  • Drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents

  • Long-term support on a strategy

  • Outreach and education to other lawyers

While we always welcome human rights attorneys, you don’t need to have a background in human rights work. In fact, it’s often other areas of law where we need the most support! We send out quarterly emails to our Brain Trust members and will reach out to individuals when we have specific work related to their expertise.
